The brief
Videocites builds content-protection technology for sports and entertainment: an automated Video-AI system that detects and removes illegal copies of premium content across platforms, in real time. This pitch deck — built in both PowerPoint and Google Slides — introduces the company under its “DISCOVER Content Protection” positioning.
The audience for a deck like this knows the industry. Sports leagues, broadcasters and investors in media technology all understand that piracy exists; what they need to be shown is how the problem changed, why the standard tools no longer catch it, and why this company’s approach does.
The challenge
Piracy is an old problem with a new shape, and the deck had to make that shape visible. Social media made infringing copies easy to publish and easier to find; pirates learned to navigate around the standard detection tools — cropped, mirrored, re-uploaded content that slips past fingerprinting. To a rights holder, the impact is measured in real numbers, and the client’s deck quantifies it.
The risk in the material was abstraction. “AI-powered anti-piracy” is a claim any company can type. The deck had to make the product concrete — show the detection actually happening, the searches, the platforms, the takedowns — and it had to establish, quickly, that this is not a startup hoping to meet the industry: the company’s client world already includes the biggest names in sport and entertainment.
What we did
The deck is structured as a problem sequence in three movements. First, the new reality: social media creates ease of access for the pirate. Second, the failure of the old defence: pirates are able to creatively navigate standard tools. Third, the impact, quantified in the client’s own figures, set large so the cost of doing nothing is the takeaway of the section.
Then the solution, shown rather than described: the automated Video-AI solution — real-time automated detection and removal of illegal copies across all platforms — illustrated with the product’s actual search and results views, so the audience watches piracy being found instead of reading a promise. Credibility is carried by a “Distinguished Industry Leader” slide presenting the sports and media brands in the company’s world, and by the SportsPro OTT “Best in Anti-Piracy” award badge the company holds for 2020, 2021 and 2022. In this market, those two slides do more than any paragraph of positioning could.
The deck
The design is dark and cinematic — deep purple and black, broadcast energy, type set like a sports graphic — because the deck will be read by people who live in that visual world, and it should feel native to it. Problem slides use imagery of the platforms where piracy happens; solution slides switch to product views, so the eye learns the rhythm: chaos, then control.
Built natively in both PowerPoint and Google Slides, the deck is fully editable by the client’s team as the numbers and logos evolve — which, for a company in a fast-moving market, matters as much as the design itself.
Pitching into an industry that has heard every claim? Proof has to be designed, not just included. Our pitch deck design services are built around that principle, and presentation design pricing lays out the packages.
