The brief
MZIS helps car dealerships in Puerto Rico unlock workforce funding under WIOA — the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act — and this B2B sales deck is the tool its team uses to open that conversation with dealership owners.
The offer is unusual: federal funding that covers training costs for both new hires and existing employees, administered locally, with MZIS managing the entire process for the dealership. It is a genuinely valuable programme that most dealerships have never heard of, sold to busy owners who did not ask to think about government funding that day. The deck also had to work beyond the first meeting — sales decks get forwarded around buying committees, and this one was built for exactly that: multiple stakeholders, reading at different times, without the presenter present.
The challenge
Workforce funding comes wrapped in everything business owners instinctively avoid: eligibility rules, documentation, reporting and audits. Lead with the mechanism and the deck dies in the first three slides. Lead with hype and a careful owner assumes there is a catch.
The audience also splits. An owner cares about revenue and retention. A service manager cares about technicians and EV specialists who are hard to hire and easy to lose. A finance lead cares about what is covered and what it costs them in time. One deck had to answer all three, in an order that kept the first reader reading.
What we did
The deck opens with the money, not the mechanism: “Unlock New Revenue for Your Dealership — WIOA Funding Made Simple.” The second movement is a financial-impact slide that makes the scope concrete — funding that covers new hires and existing staff alike, across service technicians and EV specialists, sales and marketing teams, accountants and finance personnel, managers and supervisors, and administrative and customer service staff, supporting retention, upskilling and re-training.
Only then does the deck explain how WIOA works in Puerto Rico: federal funding with local execution, administered through the island’s economic development and commerce authorities and local workforce boards. And it closes the loop with why MZIS specifically: insider knowledge of the programme, experience certified at federal level, and a turnkey service that manages everything from eligibility to compliance reporting — including the administration, documentation, reporting and audits that dealerships fear most. The scariest part of the offer is presented as the part the client never has to touch.
The deck
The design is deliberately boardroom-grade: near-black and deep teal with gold rules, black-and-white photography, and a premium finish that signals this is a serious financial conversation, not a flyer. Each slide carries one idea, set large, so the deck works presented live, on a screen in a meeting, or forwarded as a PDF to a partner who missed the meeting.
This is what a sales deck has to do when the product is a process: make the value obvious, the mechanism credible, and the next step easy. Our wider pitch deck design services include sales and capabilities decks built the same way, and presentation design pricing shows the fixed-scope packages.
